Welcome
Praise Express Preschool is a ministry of the Westerville Church of the Nazarene. It was organized in the fall of
1996 and is a privately owned and operated, non-profit preschool. The school is licensed by the Ohio Department
of Job & Family Services. The license is posted on the preschool bulletin board in the preschool wing.
The purpose of the program is to provide a learning experience for children in a safe, loving, Christian
environment as an outreach to Westerville and the surrounding communities. It is our desire to see children develop in four areas:
- Socially: It is our desire for your child’s first school experience to be a positive one. We want to
help each child develop friendships, learn self-discipline, practice sharing and cooperation, and teach them
how to make the right choices. In all we do, nothing is more important than building the feeling of
self-worth in each child.
- Mentally: Each child will be given opportunities to progress at their own rate of development.
- We will academically prepare children for Kindergarten. (Introduction to letters, shapes, colors,
numbers, writing their name, etc.)
- We will provide enrichment learning for those who have reached Kindergarten readiness
(letter sounds, sight words, etc.)
- We will help develop skills that will enhance learning (following directions, taking
responsibility, creative thinking, listening, obeying, etc.)
- Physically: Daily opportunities in large muscle activities will be provided (Bicycles, parachute games,
throwing balls, jumping rope, large blocks for building, and movement with music.)
- Spiritually: Each day a basic Bible story will be read to your child. We will also instruct your child
in the Christian meaning of both the Christmas and Easter holidays. In all we do and say, we want to
exemplify God in our lives.
Praise Express Preschool is licensed by the State of Ohio, Department of Human Services.
The license, and other credentials, are posted in the hallway near the school office.
Non-Discriminatory Policy
Praise Express Preschool recruits and admits students of any race, color or ethnic origin to all its rights,
privileges, programs and activities. The school will not discriminate on the basis of race, color or ethnic
origin in the administration of its educational programs.
